It happened where it couldn't. It is happening where it can't. Everyone will come, many still won't.
It took a leap of faith. It will be a fight. It was a ghost town that surrounded us. We made light. We are still in the dark.
Slowly but surely, time has given us a home. In turn, we have given a home to a sound. The sound of what comes after, and sticks
around. Not the disposable option or the flavor of the day. We are not going anywhere. We want you to be a part of whatÕs next,
and will always be next. Our time won't come. Our time will always be just on the horizon. We like it that way.
The Kensington South Forum is dedicated to providing a home for the emerging arts in Philadelphia. The KS Forum will be a home
to film, dance, visual art, and live music. We will be providing a space that will reflect the diversity, and hope of our
neighborhood. Support is gathering for our efforts with many of the most talented, and vital artists in the city of Philadelphia
lining up behind us. We are starting small, but we have big plans. We will make performances in our space something different
for performers, and guests.
As the streets of Kensington are becoming imbued with a sense of regeneration and purpose, there is a need for a guiding force to
fight the mistakes of the past, and create a safe haven for the fringes of music, film, and art. This art on the edges is always
home to all the action. The KSF provides a place for the growing artistic and cultural movement in Kensington to meet, organize,
and grow. The reservations people once felt when they heard the word Kensington, are fading as fast as new houses are being built.
We are making a play for the hearts and minds of people used to attending shows in smoky bars, and corporate sponsored clubs.
Patrons walk out feeling a renewed love for music. Our performers leave with a sense of purpose and community.
