Tony Croasdale

Team captain Tony Croasdale, is a Philadelphia native and has been an avid birder for more than twenty years. He has worked for a field season with the Hudson Bay project in Arctic Canada with Snow, Ross' and Canada Geese. He has also worked under team member Andy Bernick banding songbirds in New York City on a West Nile Virus Study. Tony is most known for being the lead singer for the popular underground punk rock band R.A.M.B.O., touring to thirty-eight countries. He has birded in Asia, Europe, Australia, Peru, Belize and all over North America. Tony is currently interning with the US Fish and Wildlife Service at John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge for his year of service with Americorps VISTA. Tony serves as the voice of the Delaware Valley Rare Bird Alert.

Andy Bernick

Andy Bernick PhD, is a wildlife consultant in Washington DC. Andy finished his dissertation on Black-crowned Night-Herons last year and has been researching urban wading bird breeding populations for nearly a decade. He was the nesting survey leader for New York City Audubon Society's Harbor Herons Project, and has been instrumental in aiding research projects for Wildlife Trust and the University of Rhode Island. He has twice traveled to Antarctica's South Shetland Islands to conduct seabird surveys with his advisor Dr. Richard Veit and other graduate students

Mike McGraw

Mike McGraw is a field biologist and site manager for Herpetological Associates. Herpetological Associates is the most trusted name in endangered species surveys and wildlife consulting in the New Jersey/ Pennsylvania/ Delaware region. He has worked on Bald Eagle, Barred Owl and Cooper's Hawk surveys. He is an extremely gifted field biologist with a very sharp eye. He is a graduate of Drexel University.

Rob Hynson

Rob Hynson PhD is A British National performing research for his post-doc in biochemistry at Drexel University. He has been birding since he was eight years old. Rob serves on the field trip, rare bird alert, and checklist committees for the Delaware Valley Ornithological Club. Back in Britain, Rob was a member of Young Ornithological Club, The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds and the Fife Bird Club of Scotland. Despite only living in the area for a few years, Rob has a large knowledge of local birds and is an excellent ear-birder.

Jim Danzenbaker

Jim Danzenbaker feels that he wasted the first six years of his life by not discovering birding until then! Originally from coastal New Jersey, Jim had easy access to both Cape May and Brigantine and then migrated to the west coast where he currently lives. In California, he has guided for Shearwater Journeys bird/whale watching trips from Monterey, Santa Cruz, Bodega Bay, and Fort Bragg and has progressed from birding most of the lower 48 states to building a solid background in the tropics. He has been a freelance tour guide for the last 8 years with experience in Ecuador, Panama, Venezeula, Bolivia, and to the far southern latitudes as a guide/lecturer on several Falkland Islands-South Georgia-Antarctica birdwatching/photography expeditions. His intense interest in birding and ecological issues and his dedication to natural history have given Jim a willingness to enthusiastically share his information and knowledge. He currently resides in Battle Ground, Washington where is a Sales Manager for Kowa Sporting Optics.
